Blank MG-42 and more @ Gothenburg Militaria exhibition
Folks!
Just wanna share the videos of our reenacting show of the militaria exhibition in Gothenburg Sweden September 10th.
In the Video I have a converted M53->MG42/308 with Swedish blanks adapter and Swedish wodden tipped blanks that "Blanksguy" helped me with. Thanks Blasnksguy once again for solving the issues I had.
As you can see, the gun works perfect... Fired almost 300 rounds without a single failure... Although 2 rounds ended up, at the end of the movie, in the barrel, probably due to holding the MG wrong...
We also use a simfire MG34, but it sounds a bit different though....
Check it out here....

Thanks a lot all of you...
we are no professional in any way, but it is the 3rd year in a row that we are on this exhibition nad we are very happy that we may use the weapons that we have.
The MG34 is a propane sim-fire gun and the MG-42 is a fully working one with a blank firing adapter.
please look at our site http://www.reenactor.se if you want to see more stuff.

Very nice video, one thing I spotted that is extremely disturbing is the Russian chick reenactor running around with the M44 and the bayonet out !!!!
As fellow reenactor, that would scare me almost as much as some stupid Russian running around with a Nagent revolver thinking the live ammo he is using is blank (cause he cant see the round)
At our events fixing bayonets will get you ejected.

Styggo,
When you get ready to "Blank-Adapt" that MG34 "Gas-Gun"......let me know and I will help.
We can help you Blank-Adapt it to fire the same 7.62x51mm Blanks that you are using in your MG42......or in 8x57mm Blanks if someone in your unit is a "reloader" for ammunition (?).
Regards, RichardS in MI.

The great thing about this event was that it was on an actual battlefield where 2nd SS polizei were fiighting at the seisure of the Sieg at Leningrad.Bil wrote:Those are really excellent Photos-got any more! ---bil
This is probably the most outfreaked hing I have been at in my whole life...
You know, the russian civilan spectators came afterwords to take our autographs, they even put their babies in our laps to take photos...And we where all Nordland/Wiking SS soldiers...Man....
Furthernmore, we where in total almost 300 people of this event and 50 of us came from England and Sweden. Rest of them where russians in just excellent original SS gears and more. The most freaking thing was that most weapons they had were totally original ones adapted to fire blanks...STG44, MP40, PPSH41, Tokrev, DP28 MAxims MG34:s MG42:s I think they had 3 MG34:s They even haf a CZ Bren... they even had mortars.... and grenades...Many of the guns where stuff found in the woods and so on...a bit rusty, but what the hell...lubrication does it all...
ill add some more pics
