For those of you with nothing to do at the moment (not you Tom, you just keep working on my Weasel), go check out some new MG-42 pictures on the pics page of my website:

How did you apply the paint on the numbers here: http://198.144.2.125/MG42/FULL/MG-42Par ... rkings.jpg

Did you use some special pen?

I've used white-out. works great. To add white or red to the markings on a ramp sight, the Germans used sealing wax.

WHite out works pretty good. I just used Testor's enamel model paint, and just after applying the paint, wiped and dabbed off the overpaint around the letters using a paper towel moistened with paint thinner. The paint tends to stay in the recessed letters wuite well. Ater drying, routine gun cleaning solvents and oils don't affect it too much.

Brownells sells a white pen, like a grease pencil...which is what i use. For the life of me i can remember what they are called.
