That was fun!, even with the feed problems (needs a drum) , I love watching the guy flinch during firing!!(I do the same after NOT shooting for a while!). We are a sick breed!.

Anyone noticed the slow-motion bursts he was doing?
One pull got off 6 rounds, yet the last two were after trigger release.

that video-that is R. Silvers gun and vid, he always does an excellant job editing etc.

Your right he might want to check that sear for wear.

If I don't have a vid of mine firing FA off its lafette I will do one next outing and then let ya'll know so someone with better internet posting skills than mine (which is everyone) can make it available.

Glad to find the new site.

I'm pretty sure that those last two rounds are the fault of a worn or incorrectly adjusted sear.............The look on his face tells me that he is not too happy with it.........(probably not to far from a runaway gun maybe)

There are more videos on my website. Sorry the server is so slow, but all I can afford is 256k DSL with the website on a home server. At least it works, and the stuff there is cool.

I like the watermelon idea. Let me see if I can arrange to get a video of a row of watermelons getting chopped to pieces with my MG-42 some time this coming summer. I have a vid up that shows the MG being shot at multiple (3) targets with 50 rounds, but at a range of 70 yards, you cannot really see the targets all that well. I'm itching to make more gun videos. Could use a better camera though.

Cool; idea just came to mind. I could set up a camera behind a steel shield that views the targets from 10' away, so we could get some camera shots of the beaten zone up close. That would be cool...

FA means FULL AUTO
SA means SEMI AUTO
there are great restrictions here in the USA on FA guns compared to the SA guns we are allowed to build or buy with little restrictions.

HOLY CRAP! I just came across this one. I know another Johnny come lately.

If that doesn't get you considering a F/A purchase, you should just sell all your guns and buy a nice sewing machine.

Man, I love these guns.

Hey DARIVS ARCHITECTVS

I just realized who you were. Your website rocks :-P

it was like one of the first good sites I found on the mg42.
I even bought the german universal machineguns book because of your recommendations.

Keep up that rocking website
