so I guess the early demilled receiver that I got when I bought my MG42 is a good thing, huh? I didn't get anything from the rear of the cam piece going toward the buffer at all, but I have an uncut front end..... I saw one of them sell on ebay for $1,300 once. Considering the pics of the outstanding welding jobs I've seen here, I'd say someone was nuts to pay that.
You welders have my admiration for the reconstruction jobs you do. I'm afraid my attempts would be only slightly better than duct tape, and look just as bad.

Welding
John B. just stated a mouthful! I have all the admiration in the world for you guys that can weld this back together, and then SHOOT IT, LOL! Seriously, i would never tackle this type welding project, it is far beyond my capability. I will stick with my BRP MG42.
Guys, all of you are doing an exceptional job on these builds!
