Boy, Bill --- you really did spend that "windfall" you mentioned, didn't you?
When you run out of room for all that stuff I can probably make a little space here at my house. I promise to take good care of it . . . .

You know Bil, that is a vulgar display of wealth. And I thought I spent too much on this "junk" as my father calls it. I am completely disgusted and realize that this one upsmanship has gone too far. I doubt that we can remains friends, in light of your blatant showboating! I will find my camera and retaliate!
Hi, my name is J W and I have a shooting problem
I started to work on a jig today. What I would like to build is a simple metal jig that would locate the receiverparts by using the holes in the receiver body. The front of the receiver would go through a thin steel plate that is spaced exactly, and would be held by a nut this would enable you to use the wise-lite repair kit for really bad cuts.It would also enable you to correctly set the timing. In the rear,I will try to use the buffer to locate the cut-off piece.I am using parts from 3 guns to find a common standard.I think this would help people that arent confident to try the string method. It would fit differant cuts, and align everything at once.I will work on this over the winter, and try it out on my guns.If all works OK, I will make it available to members of the site. But dont hold up your build-I have lots to do first.I agree-these guns are really like a fine sculpture ,to me at least.I have liked them since I was a kid,and have lots of books and pictures of them, even going to museums that have them.Just to look and photograph.I never thought that I could actually own one.Until I got the internet and fount this site, that is.I will keep you posted on progress, with pics as nessesary. Thanks ---bil
