I bought extra parts to be able to shoot both caibers, so I think that I probably have about $700.00 in it.

As far as 'extra parts'... does that only refer to a barrel, nosecone, feed tray, and top cover, or do you swap out anything else? Just curious as I've heard a couple of differing opinions on what is strictly 8mm, what is .308, and what will work with both.

I'm strictly 8mm right now, but would definitely be interested in picking up .308 parts sometime in the near future.

I believe that the feedtray, barrel, cone and top cover is it.

Barrel, nozzle (cone), feed tray, and top cover... that'll do ya for a caliber conversion...

Now you need a booster soaking can, correct ammo cans (8mm and .308), ammo drums and carrier, spare barrel carrier(s), tripod, lafette, rupured case extractor, shell puller, starter tabs, tool pouch, sling, recoil spring tube, hot barrel mitt, AA circle sight, brass catcher, belt filler, belts and the ammo to fill 'em, friends to help carry everything (usually tradable for trigger time), did I mention a truck to carry it all? Don't forget the small spares - extractors, firing pins, ejector pins....

It never ends, you've only just started.

that should be the warning on our home page. Its amazing how much support stuff you " need " to get to furnish your addiction.
"good , bad, .....I'm the man with the gun."

Its amazing anything works right around here with a bunch of
over-age juvenile delinquents running the place.
