Looks nice. I think those lafettes are Macedonian reworks. Hard to beat the price.

Those are nice , and I would like to have one as well but I'd rather use the funds for a laffette 34...anyone have a source for those? I will probable use a MG3 tripod for the MG42 I'm gonna build.

You might try this guy: http://www.rytonarms.co.uk/site/home.php

His home base is in the UK but he lives half the year in Arizona. He had a bunch of 34 lafettes (russian captures) at the last Knob Creek and might still have one.

I am still looking for a 34 lafette in original colors. I have found two, but at $3K for one and $4K for the other, I passed :(

I have some great detailed pics of a camo Lafette tripod, but I cannot post in a bmp picture format. Can anyone convert these over for me if I send them to them?

Hi all,
New to board. TOM R I have a Allegheny Arsenal tripod, where is your tripod dated? It does apprear to have some dark finish under the apple green paint. The unpainted parts still retain a nice black finish. The AA extension is unmarked, except for a Cryllic looking N with 18 stamped on the head of the bolt of the yoke.

Thanks, and looks like a great site, now to keep up the research! :D

I second the motion! Mr Tony Budge from Ryton is a real gentleman. He put up with my incessant hounding of him accross two continents as he recently got me a 34 lafette out of Russia, via London, then Houston, then Tucson, and then shipped in a wooden crate to Florida.
He gets stuff out of Europe then brings it here to militaria shows in Palm Beach, Texas, Arizona, not to mention Knob Creek and the SAR shows in Phoenix.
He works with DDBell from Omega Weapons System, who also has very choice items.
These guys are knowledgeable & friendly. Give them a call, you won't be sorry.
