YAWN!! back to work...
Well, I'm almost fully recovered from my second lumbar disc surgery this year and am getting back to work this week. There hasn't been much to say gun-wise on this board for me since I sold my MG-42 to Bob here, but I still have a couple cool guns left, like the MP-44, MP-40 and k98. Bil's been laying low, so he hasn't been feeding me any material I can use against him, which make my recovery even more boring. At least I got some interior remodeling done on the house, a few walls painted and closet shelves installed.
Despite all the warnings, I'm getting married next May, and the cool thing is the lady loves shooting the MP-40. Our annual MG shoot in Redwing, MN was a success also. My fiance's parents also attended. All my projects have become house related, and there just doesn't seem to be any really nice vintage German guns available at the gun shows anymore. Guess they all dried up. The reenactment at Rockford last September was fun, and it was great to use the 1944 DKW motorcycle in the big public show we put on, as well as ride with another buddy who also has an old 1939 DKW.
I really don't wanna go out there and rake the leaves.... Geeez !

Oh, those were back surgeries you were having? And here I thought you had finally decided to pursue your dream of becoming a woman. Maybe next year.DARIVS ARCHITECTVS wrote:Well, I'm almost fully recovered from my second lumbar disc surgery this year and am getting back to work this week. I have to say that comment was up to my quality standards! Especially after the dress picture-does she know about this??? Or will you be getting married in matching dresses? Good luck with the back recovery, and congrats on the marriage. My condolances to the bride-to-be!
Boy is she in for some surprises! ---bil

I didn't pay him anything. You know me. I'm even too poor to pay attention.DARIVS ARCHITECTVS wrote:Dave, how much did you pay Bil for that endorsement?

Marriage is a great institution and I always thought you belonged in an institution.
