More and more than I think about this one I ask myself is this legal or club med time???
I believe that it is a m53 redo that has been cut again with a mg42 rear receiver part added. What do you folks think?
above is not mine

Re: Need a 2 cut mg42 receiver???
The two spare barrel shrouds are clearly Yugo. The adjustment knobs on the bipods indicate that they are likely Yugo as well.
It's hard to be sure, but the cut barrel shroud also looks like a Yugo gun. We'd need better photos of the top.
Why do you think this sale is trouble?

Thought that in order to demill a mg42 to have in USA you had to do a min of 3 cuts.
I think that all 3 barrel shrouds are yugo, for sure. Look at front sight area on the cut one pic 3. Also looks like it has been rewelded on the front in pic 3.
If the rear receiver does not have something to block a full auto bolt it gets more interesting in my mind.

Are you talking about the ears that the 2 rivets go through? I have 1 gun that looks like that. I'm sure it is a German receiver.
Did the rules always require three cuts? Maybe this gun was demilled a while back?
Being cut the way it is now, would it require a blocking bar? Doesn't it technically become a receiver after the rear is welded to the front?

Kits were imported at different times with different demill specs.
no possible way to say there is anything not legit with the parts in that kit.
pretty impressed he is currently getting $1300 for a kit that looks like mostly yugo parts left over from cherry picking multiple kits.

I feel the same way about the price. But it took 2 folks to get it there.
On the cut barrel shroud in 3rd pic I believe it's yugo due to 3 things. First shape of sight area. Then if I think that the 2 pieces are cut from the same piece and the camming device has a yugo number on the side of it and the front tripod locking device also has a yugo number on it. Therefore that makes me think that it's yugo.
