I'm looking for a replacement spring for the front legs of my Schlitten 08, this is the long flat spring that pushes the locking handle into the holes on the sled- it's riveted on the front legs, and bears on the handle to push it into place. I've got one broken. I'm looking for a replacement. Any spare sled front leg springs out there? Mark, your friend on the continent have one in all that cool stuff he's got?
While I'm at it, I've got a German early early pattern 500 round ammo can that is missing the handles on the sides. Someone worked hard with a chisel to take off the handles. I would like to put them back, but I need a pair of handles, preferably from a destroyed/run over/ rusted out relic 500 round can. Anyone got a rotted out 500 rounder that I could reuse the handles from?
