Ohio Gun Collectors shows 08/15's ?

Post by dwmmg08 »

A friend of mine was telling me that years ago, (late 1970's?) when he lived up there, there was a guy who regularly set up at the Ohio Gun Collectors shows with 15-20 MG08/15's, and like 3-4 tables of parts and accessories for them. He remembered him, but wasn't into that stuff then, so didn't catch the guys name. Any idea who that might have been, or any pictures out there of his display??? Id love to see all that!

Thought of Dolf too, but wasn't he in Houston?? Seems like a long way to go for a show?

Yeah I really have no idea. Just as likely to be dead at this point. I was not even born in the late 70s

I would bet that Heck (Alias: PJ) would know who if it wasn't him. I was born in the early 60's but he has been around a bit longer.

I don't know him, lets ask him? Were no cameras allowed at those shows back then?

I don't know about that gun show but here I'm with Dave Watts collecting last year at wright Patterson AB in Dayton. These are LMG 08/15's (two tables worth) and one water cooled.

Interesting pic Lloyd, is that you in the Orange? Is that a transit chest on the table, and is it a standard one, or one for the aircraft guns only??? I notice it seems rather large? Is it for a LMG 08/15, or 08? Looks like a great collection of guns, really cool. Neat ground gun there, is it Spandau also?
