I forgot, what is that cam piece on the Sled cross member?

For the life of me I can not remember and its driving me nuts! I know I read about it somewhere but can't find it.

Ok the cross member support just forward of the MG08 Sled "deck" and gear box. It has two little cam like things sticking off the front and back of the cross member in the middle. What were they for again?

I can post a picture if needed. Please save my sanity and remind me what its for!

I freely admit I do not know! I am guessing but it may be for assisting the attchment to the old German issue MG cart? A good question Matt - I look forward to the answer too.

David thanks. I was not far off but does anybody have any images/instructions/photos of this in operation. It would be quite interesting to see what it is used for.
