This is a rather rare opportunity to build one of the ugliest German guns ever created, the plastic-stocked DDR AKM (MPi-Km). However a must-have nonetheless I have always rued selling my EG PLO parts kit to pay some bills, this is likely a rare chance to get a true East German Ak parts kit. Rumor has it these were the ones Copes was talking about getting last year, not sure how true that is though.
Unfortunately they are: without barrels, have their trunions scrubbed of serial numbers, and were not carried by the historic freedom fighters of the PLO, but still lots of hard to get parts in each kit

Although it is true that COPES did run a "pre-buy" on guns/kits that were still in a warehouse overseas, the East German and Egyptian AK part sets that APEX has now have nothing to do with that importer or COPES.
There is a thread on "THE AK FORUM" and "Weapons Guild" about these part sets. It is not just the trunnion serial numbers that are "sanitized", expect ALL the serial numbers to have been ground. The parts do look nice though, the bluing must have been about commercial grade when these were new!
