Hi all,
Is this a Patroenenkasten 16 or just an early manufacture Weimar can? Sorry cant give any indication of markings as I just have these photos to go by.
Opinions appreciated! Also whats it worth for me to buy?

Re: Patroenenkasten 16?
As Fritz says standard WWI 250 rd ammo can, and very common here in Belgium and France. seen some as low as Euros25 but would need reconditioning. Nice ones with markings may be up to the Euro 50 mark. From what I have seen not ALL WWI ammo cans have maker/factory stamps or markings .
I am very surprised at some of the auction prices for 500 rd ammo cans so may have to sell some soon!!!!!
best wishes
Mark

Thank you both for your well informed reply's
It sounds like I will be a LOT better off sourcing a ammo can of this type from overseas.
