Can anyone tell me what this proofmark is an example of?

The stamp is the logo for Steyr/Solothurn model of the MP34 of Austria who manufactured the gun. Many were made for export contract sales from 1939 through 1940. Most likey it is the M/42 model if in 9mm Para. Early production Mp34s were made from 1934 by Steyr, Daimler, Puch in three different calibers for Autrian issue, German issue and export.

Bob Naess

Steyr Solothurn Waffen- SSW. The solothurn factory in Solothurn Switzerland built the gun as Bob noted and used their trademark on the topcover.
