Looking for the hose-side fitting for my steam port cover. In other words, the mate for the steam port cover hose connection. Original or repro, I don't care as long as it fits.

Even the repros are hard to find right now.

I have found that all parts seem to come in waves. Someones I can't get certain parts to save my life and I will have good demand for them. Then I turn up 2-3 of them and they wind up sitting for a year on my list. The steam port cover is probably the hardest part to find on a standard MG08/15 not including an original sling. Feedblocks, Pistol Grips and Fusee Covers are always in high demand too. Booster would be but there are good supplies of repros there. Normally I have a stock of almost every other part.

If you keep watching one will turn up. However that is not an easy part. Neither is the hose connector that attaches to it.

Thanks for the WTB suggestion, I'll do that.

Just to be clear, it's not the cover I'm looking for, I have that. It's the hose-side connector for it.

Oh, sorry I was mainly talking about the steam port cover. Actually the part you are looking for is harder to find. Originals are hard to tell from repros anyway. Does IMA still have them? I would guess so, get one of them and save yourself the trouble of looking more.

Unfortunately, IMA doesn't have them. I for sure would buy it from them if they did. I'm not trying to get a deal or anything, I just need one. No concern over repro or original.

I am obviously a bit thick - you are looking for the screw on steam port that physically attaches to the gun? The hose connector is the part that is fixed to the hose and then fixes to the steam port.

Anyway after all that Matt is right, original slings rare and the steam port as the next hardest item. Even looking at the war trophy photos of captured lines ups the steam port is invariably always missing. I do have a repro hose connector and hose spare but I am also looking for a steam port! Good luck.

Mark, He was looking for the hose connector with the hose attached. He managed to pull one out of my personal collection... So he should be good to go now.
