At over $2,100 US it might be a deal but at that price out of my thoughts.

It is certainly not a deal at over US$2k!!!! 
These leather tool rolls are not uncommon and certainly in Europe I have seen empty ones sell for Euros400! Whoever bought this at that price clearly has no financial problems or other responsibilities (and it seems there were 2 bidders at the US$2k mark).
It is nice though, with the tools, and as a collector we will all pay a premium price to obtain a wanted item but this was incredible. Crikey I might sell my 2 cases now if there are people paying this sort of money.

Yeah its nice and complete but to rich for my blood. I am not what one would consider a big accessory collector. I have a Reichswehr version and I was happy to have like $100 in it. However maybe for the advanced accessory collector its worth it.

Absolutely not worth it - you only have to look at gun broker to see the price of the tools. The only thing I can think of is that it is a rare maker, but I do not know.

This is the second MG08 Tool roll/set that i have seen in the last month sell for over $1500 Euro.
The fist one was in very poor condition and missing most of the tools, but still sold!
