Has anyone ever noticed how the prices on ZF12s are all over the place? This is the second most expensive I have ever seen. The first was one that came with a MG34 rail adaptor and was in like 95% condition. As you can see this one is not nearly that nice but is early and unit marked. Anyone here get it? I am glad it went so high as I was tempted at a lower price. ZF12s sure seem to sometimes draw crazy money, except when I am selling one!

Its the First Modell, with the small Base,
and.... it has a Regimental marking...

I saw one sell on ebay this summer for maybe $120-$140 (it was in pounds so I do not quite recall the exact price), then of course there are the different styles. How accurate were these?

I did not bid nor win but it is a nice item. Even by European dealer standards it is a high price but as we all can agree - it is just impossible to tell nowadays what prices are what! Even in austere times there are surprises!!

By the way if I do not hear/speak to anybody due to travels Happy Christmas everyone.

P.S. I have a ZF12 (in poor condition) with a lower serial number. 11XX, I forget the last two

I picked up a ZF12 at the Creek for $350 without the case or cap. After a good cleaning it works perfectly. I bid on this one but didn't go above $550. Too rich for my blood. If anyone has a spare cap or case i'd be interested.
