I was hoping to grab a few more parts, but I just found out that they are out of stock. Anybody know where I could find the insert for the nose cap,and a shoulder stock(preferably the screw down/folding type)?

Thanks,
Seth

Seth, you snooze, you lose my man!! ;-) ;-)

What do you mean by the "insert", do you mean the booster nozzle?? Not sure I recall seeing any of them loose lately, but definitely something that can be very easily made. I was going to do another run of new MG-34 booster nozzles later this winter anyway in both 1018 and 316L, so the MG-15 nozzle we can probably make a short run of at the same time, and I'd suggest using 316L for these. Would want to do like 15-20 of them, though. How many you want?? ;-)

The IMA/"made-in-India-by-goats" repop stocks are definitely out there, but if my experiences with them say anything, they don't hold up well at all on a live MG, and that's if they were put together straight to begin with....I had to return several to IMA before I got one that fit and was straight.

Before all that, you better go buy some BBLs while you still can.....THAT is the hard part if you have to go make one, we tried to do some in 7.62NATO caliber last summer and it wasn't worth it.

Thanks Tom!

Right, the booster nozzle insert is what I need. Shooting alot of surplus tends to clog these things with carbon that even a dremel tool and polishing stone have a hard time getting off. I mean that stuff really cakes on there!! But, more importantly, I need one for my 2nd japanese mg-15 copy. I plan on making a dual mount, and am well on my way to completing my "redneck" rough draft at this point. I will post video, and pictures of it when I go shoot next month. The main piece I am missing is the second gun....haha...but it will be here in a few weeks. I have both types of should stocks. I believe that the non-colapsible lever type came with the water cooled kits, and is NOT the type I am looking for. Rather, I know that the mount I have made fits on the screw tightening style more snuggly and will help to equal out the balance, ease of construction, and general aesthetics of the design. However, at this point I am running into 2 big problems. !st: A way to align sights between both guns while not connectting them together 2nd: The type 1 variant seems to be an inch off from the type 98 point of mounting.(ie the the trunnion on the type 1 is about 1 inch farther forward than that of the type 98)

Once I get the pictures of the design uploaded, please feel free to critique and contribute to my ideas to make this thing work!

P.s. Tom if you do decide to make the inserts for the booster cap, please let me know roughly how much they would cost.

thanks,'
Seth
