I have had this MG.13 saddle drum in my collection for quite a while now and have not come across any other examples out there in as nice condition....there muse be loads of them and you guys must have them. How rare are they, and what sort of value would such a drum attain today. Any info please email damienhorn@jerseymail.co.uk

They are more than "rare" in such condition, and retain exceptional value, again, especially in that condition. Export it over here and you'll be pleasantly surprised to see what you are offered.

If you have any of the DT-13/Dreyse specific accessories, loader set, leather carrier, etc.....you'll easily double your take.

It's importable here, if you are looking for some money.

Heres a quick idea of value. Ive never even seen one of these for sale! Hell Ive never even seen one in a museum. You could probably ask whatever you want and get it

We had quite a few 13's here on the Island during the German Occupation, and yet this is the only saddle drum I have ever come across. Not even ones in relic condition have appeared in the old German tunnels where all the small kit was dumped and sealed up for years.

These three came from Germany. Saw a mint one with carrier in Belgium not too long ago.

I never see those carriers enough. One drum some type here one there, very rarely do you see them on carriers. Thanks for the photo's.
