I received my MG08 this week and I am very happy with it. Below are some pics that I took of it. I hope to get out and shoot it soon.

No build. It is a C&R transferable Maxim 08.

azdskin, That is a very nice looking 08. I've seen several and that one is a beauty! Please post more pics if you can. Have you shot it yet? Best part is you have the sled mount and optics to go with it too.

Congrats. The 08 is one of my favorite guns. Tell us some more about it. Do the numbers match? Is it a Spandau or DWM? Did you get any other parts or goodies with the package? Your sled is very nice also! I have one and another on transfer. Im converting my "beater" to 54r thanks to Bob Naess. The sled is very stable to shoot from but it doesnt give a very wide area of traverse. Both of mine have sleds but I have a 16 tripod that im restoring to use when shooting just because the sleds are dificult to transport and somewhat delicate. You will be amazed at the accuracy this gun is capable of with the optic and the sled. Its amazing. Enjoy your 08.

Below is a vid link of me test firing the MG08. It is a 1917 Spandau and is mostly matching numbers with exception of the barrel, feed block and lock.

Really cool! I love mine, they are the best MG's to shoot out there, In my humble, non-biased opinion. You'll love it I'm sure!

Are you going to mount a rail on the bottom or side for the lasers, flashlights, and grip handles? Nice looking set up. now you need a gurfuller 16!
