Alan, Blitz, Prussia, thanks for the great pictures. The LMG08/15 is certainly an awesome, evil-looking weapon.
As an aircraft main armament, I just read that the Vickers on US Air Service SPAD 13s were almost all replaced with Marlin "Potato-diggers" as they became available. Is that true? Never seen a picture of a SPAD/Marlin. Surely they were much lighter, but better/more reliable?....Phil
