Yes the parts will be dropped off at my Gun Smith friend for a dip in his bluing tank. So far the only things on this project I havent done are stripping the chrome and bluing, I repaired the sight myself at home but the cone had to be done on the lathe at work,I am fortunate to work with some good machinists who gave me some guidance on the cone, I can spin most things on a lathe but have had no formal training in this discipline ( Im a fitter welder) so had to call in assistance for the thread as it has been a few years since I have done any thread cutting and even then one of the guys worked out the lathe settings to give the correct feed and speed.Sadly it has become a real problem to do personal jobs at work and I had to get permission from the boss which he reluctantly granted. Once upon a time it was no issue but times are changing!
Spoke to another guy who owns a machine shop who suggested making them in a C&C would be no issue...well beyond me as I like to keep it simple. Its times like this I wished I had pursued a career as a machinist.
Any of the guys on the forum who are machinists will be laughing at this as if you know what you are doing it is a simple operation!

Thanks for the positive comments,Im currently trying to find a drain valve, Chinese or original MG08 for this gun. Im toying with the idea of making one as I have had no luck finding one so far.
Made some rings for the pins that hold water jacket and receiver together last week so only small progress to report.
