Hello,
One of my new toys , it's a german handwagen for carrying the MG 08 with the sledmount, amunitions boxes, water and the big shield...
This handcart was made since 1916 for the special machine gunners troops (MGSST and MGSSA).
Todays....
Regards
David

David, that is very nice! I could sure use it for my trips to the range. They have been killing me dragging around the an 80lb sled with the gun on top!
I would love to see the connection to the Sled and how that works. I like the way it holds the shield.
Lets see it fully loaded up and being towed! You could take that in a Parade!

Re: MG 08 HANDCART
I am surprised any of those survived at all, save for museum pieces. Well done.
While the German maxims are the nicest, as I have said many times, the sokolov mount was a pretty good design having the wheels already attached, but it does sit low.
