Well I got the MG08/15 converted over to 7.62x54r. It was a short shoot day so I did not want to break out the corrosive ammo so I just has a little NC Wolf and Tula ammo around. Its running pretty well. The front barrel packing seemed a bit tight but it was still running ok but you can hear the first shots were a bit slow. I tried to shoot it without the booster but it would not run even with really low recoil spring tension. Next year I will get it out and really get it well worked in. This was just to make sure it was working. I was using a Russian 1910 barrel turned down, a 1910 feedblock converted to fit, a standard 1910 lock and a set of German recoil plates/crank with Russian lock connection and modified left recoil plate to fit the 1910 feedblock lower arm. The barrel and feedblock I have had for years as I got them cheap off a guy in PA that was getting out of Maxims. So I just had to Modify the recoil plates and tweek everything to get it working.

After that I put the 8mm guts back in and post WWI converted feedblock that runs MG34 style belts. This feedblock worked well with the Port NC 8mm I was running in it. A friend had a MG34 so we decided to do a WWI/WWII comparison. I figure the MG08/15 should run what about 450RPM and the MG34 has to be 800-900RPM. Notice he give two pauses in his fire and still beats me done the belt.

I also had the M11 out with a 22LR conversion. Just a fun little gun to shoot but not as interesting to video.

A pair of nice videos. I'm starting to gather the parts for a mg34. Wish it could be FA but will have to settle for semi.
Looked Great. Good Luck with your fine tuning, which I'm sure that will both enjoy doing and will get her done.
