MG08 Gunners Helmet? Or Fake?

i think its a fake, inside writing is with 3 heavy mistakes in spelling:
is written: Garde Maschine.Gwr Abteilungen Nr 2.

Korrekt German spelling is: Garde Maschinen Gew. Abteilung Nr 2

Thanks for the info. I also saw one of the spelling "mistakes". However I figured it might be a translation error or something like the difference between "fly" vs "flies" in German. Since you see them as errors being German, I think thats very telling.

Anyway the price tag is fairly high and its going to be out of my range. If you think its real and want it here you go:

You have to love the internet. Where else can you get this info and so quick! If this item is faked, it looks like it was done a while ago!

I think Alpenkorps is right, this does not look right. I can't think of any reason why a real German soldat would have misspelled the words either.
