MG 08 parts needed for Museum
MG 08 parts needed for Museum
Hi everyone, Im in need of some more help in getting some parts for a MG08,i need a flash hidder and i guess its called a jacket protecter ( round plate behind flash hidder) to finish a MG08 that we have at the Museum of the Kansas National Guard. Its a very nice display but all we have is a threaded barrel and it sure could use something on it ,any help would great even if you had the specks. on it that i could get to have a machine shop make one it would sure help. Thanks

OOPS! Brain Fart. Just occured to me the booster link is for a repro 08/15 booster, not an 08! Sorry.

Thanks so much guys , i will check it out. If you ever get to Topeka, Kansas please stop by the Museum,we have some nice displays. We just got a very nice MP38 that the family of the Vet. gave us after he pased away. Thanks again.

Flash hiders are hard but come up ever once and a while. I actually just sold one.

Well the question is does it have a barrel gland on the front? This is a perfectly fine and correct way of firing the gun. This was used when the booster was not needed. If so the threads were just left exposed... Do you have the book "The Devils Paintbrush" by goldsmith? If not, get it. Its worth every penny and tells you everything you need to know.Radar wrote:
