Help identifying vehicle mount

I need to identify what I think is a vehicle mount for heavy machine guns. Initially I thought it was for a MG53 or MG3, but so far no luck when googled. Someone with more MG experience may instantly recognize what these are. These aren't mine but belong to a friend, he's not very computer savvy. Any info will be much appreciated. I only have the one photo, but I can post more next week.

That is or was for a MG42 or M-3. As to what it was on I don't remember at this time. I have that mount in my garage. There is a picture of it in one of John's translated German books. I have the mount and have seen the picture of it, now to just remember the details. I'll work on it when I get a chance. I bought mine several years ago from Brian at BRP.
