Does anyone have an assembly dwg of the 8mm recuperator they can post?
it seems it has more parts than the .308 one posted.
8mm recuperator dwg
Recuperator
John Baum has a Manual which has a drawing showing an exploded view of the recuperator. Send an e-mail to John to find out which book has this information.

when I installed mine it looked to me like the bolt only goes in one way

Pictures are worth a 1000 words. Here is what I meant .... In the two photos the recuperator on the left, the 'L' bolt leg facing towards the barrel... the recuperator on the right, the 'L' bolt leg facing towards the buttstock. Examining these two recuperator assemblies it appears not to matter which orientation the 'L' bolt is installed in. At another time I was playing with recuperator assemblies, the barrel would only fully cycle if the 'L' bolt leg was facing aft. Given that particular assembly (specific plunger, 'L' bolt, recuperator, etc) if the 'L' bolt leg faced forward, the plunger would bottom out against the 'L' bolt leg before the barrel would fully cycle aft, thus not releasing the bolt head from the barrel assy.
BTW - these are 2 very nice German 8mm recuperator assemblies (sans front attachment 'L' bolt) purchased from Dan. Thanks again Dan !!!
Edit;
I don't remember for sure but in the case where the barrel would not cycle, I might have been using a .308 recuperator plunger. It's been long enough that I don't remember for sure.
