Would the unwelded MG42 receiver halves on BRP Guns be good for a semi build? Just wondering.

waste of time imho, instead buy the assembled rear rec from brp with racthet plate installed for $100, this is what i did and so far i got no problems and almost ready to shoot, btw it is also in semi config and they call it scrap for use on an oxy build or dummy :D

Tom,
Aha, that's what you bought.
What differs on the inside of that rear half over the original?
'm just curious if they shortened up the belly side so a FA bolt
wouldn't work in it, or if there's a plug somewhere.

What is wrong with them that BRP considers them to be unusable? I wonder if some are worse than others.

It would bite if they scrap'd those things cause the mill jumped when tapping out the holes...for say, the recuperator maybe
....or the left rail
