Bolt Block

Post by Pirate »

I have been reading about the receiver assembly and see you need to install a block to prevent the unmodified bolt from being installed. Can someone elaborate on this?
Does the block go in the receiver or grip stick?

easiest place is looking where the grip mounts you will see 2 rivets or screws drill a hole thru the front one the location is their, remove material from the recup. where it would block the stud but do not cut out the recup. mounting hole.

See attched pic where I drill hole, I use a 3/8" dowel, the hieght will depend on where your rails set. After you make sure you bolt moves smoothly in rails ( bolt rails in) then weld in stud. I leave the whole front end off while doing this, maybe overkill better safe than sorry. The yellow paint is a approx. on location and does not interfere with recoil spring. PM me if you need specifics.

Thanks!!! I kind of figured it out last night. I got a distance of .650 to the bolt and figure
leaving about .025 clearance.
