Already ordered 1 :D

Anyone Know how long it takes (approx) for these 'group buys' ?????

in the past. It would take however long to sell the min. quantity for the group buy and receive all the funds. I have seen them take as long as 4 months!

I don't know how Gary has the "NEW" group buy products set up. With the new store front. It says he has 18 in stock. So I don't know if they ship out as soon as he receives your order and funds...or if he has to still sell all 18 like the old group buys where.

These look interesting. Has anyone actually bought and used one of these? If so, how well do they work/look/fit.

Thanks!

There are two MSGs on the 1919 board, MSG and MSG1956. I use the same ID for both boards (MSG1956).

The new setup is designed for quicker processing... in the case of the grip sticks and other M53/MG42 parts, they are ordered in batches.

If I receive a good size of orders/payments in a week, then it's sent in right away, and shipped ASAP.

We do still have group buys which require that all the product is sold prior to ordering (this will likely be the case with the MG42 receivers), but the new system allows you to make payment right away, without having to wait until all the product has been sold before being provided the order totals. this new system should speed up ordering and shipping a great deal.

I have about $2000 invested in the new system, all done to provide members with product faster than in years past, and still provide the best pricing around.

What happens if you make the payment right away....and then say the group buy is for 20 widgets and 4 months go by and only 5 widgets are orderd.....what is my money doing? sitting in your bank account. and I dont want to do the buy anymore because I can't wait forever. How do I get my money back?

Money orders are not cashed until the order is sent in. (I do not collect interest on any funds)

There have been a few cases where someone ended up canceling out of a group buy, and requested that the funds be applied to another buy (which is easy to do under the new system).

generally group buys under the new system should move very quickly. the biggest holdup has been waiting for everyone to send in the funds. the new system tells you up front how much to send in, so there should be no delay in getting the funds.

only a few group buys (custom receivers and parts) which are not made until after the order is sent in are really subject to a long wait. then again, you would not get the item any faster at retail price in that case either.

Vendors who do not ship promptly are dropped and no longer able to provide products.

For some group buys the only option may be CC orders. the orders pile up until the qty is reached and then they are turned over to the vendor (so people are not charged until the product is ready)

There has been a couple cases where the product was to be on the ground, but the ATF put a halt to the sale, or otherwise delayed it.

The vendors in that case generally provide the option of getting a refund or waiting for the product.

I have the same question. Once Weaponeer stops the group buy, does this mean you can not get them any more??

Wise Lite Arms is currently manufacturing these grip assemblies. We run them in batches. We plan and build for our own needs plus add additional units for our retailers.
These are a "long lead" item due to the work that must be performed to build them.
For now I would expect to see these as a "limited availabilty" item.

Do you have a waiting list or take pre-orders?

Sorry, we don't have the resource to manage such lists.
These will be sold thru our retailers when they are available.
