Here are some pics of my project so far. I actually got everything stuffed in it today and the bolt slides nicely with correct endplay and locks securely into the barrel. When compressed, the camming pieces do their job also. The overall endplay is within 1/32nd. The recup works awesome and lines up great. It looks like some finish/detail work on the receiver and off to the grip stick or bolt. The setup I used to true up the front piece worked awesome. Now I know that the barrel is parellel with the front. As you can see my work has been cut out for me, but has turned out really nice. Other than the receiver, the rest of the kit is near perfect german with marks. Can't wait to shoot it.

Nice job!

I like the alignment block setup. Did you use a block somewhere in the middle too?

Have you got any more pictures or details to share?

No, I used 5/8" cold rolled steel rod ($10.25), which is very straight to begin with. I did check it on the lathe and it was true. I must say it worked great for alignment.

I stuffed the end with foam, centered and cut a hole and wala. It should make the front threaded piece as close to straight as we will need it (At least this is what I would think). ;)
