finallly getting close. once the bolt gets back I can drill the grip stick for the trigger/sear and give this thing a shot or two. hopfully everything works. I feel like a kid on christmas eve :!:

It has a .308 bbl. right now but I will without a doubt be switching to 8mm as soon as I (money) can.

Interordnance has a good deal on barrels in 8mm. I ordered 2 last yr in anticipation of my project and got 2 original WW2 barrels in mint condition with mint bores. Compare the price with BRP and you can almost get two for the price of one BRP barrel. You should pick one or two up before they sell out.
Lately I needed to find a 8mm feed tray and they were the only ones around that had on in stock at $69. It was listed as post war but what they sent was an original WW2 tray that had once been converted for 308. It looks like somebody simply knocked out that small tab that serves as a guide for the shorter 308 round.
