Is there any preference weather you weld in a stud or a flat bar in the bottom of the receiver to prevent the introduction of a full auto bolt when receiver is being converted to semi-auto?

I believe BRP is doing a bar now. Hopefully one of the other fellows with a brp reciever will jump in here.

Only thing with the stud is it has to be low enough for the recoil spring to reciprocate.
I didn't hear about brp doing a bar, but sounds like an idea. The rear end of the recuperator
could not be covered, otherwise you would not be able to service the springs in it. I guess you
could turn the bar up on it's side (maybe that's what you're saying?) and weld it into the bottom

I'm sure thats what was talked about was turning the bar on edge at a height of .650 measured from outside of the frame.
