Hi guys this is my first build on a MG platform. I looked through several builds and found one @

In his build he spliced two sections from a new BRP front stamping in to existing front shroud. Now my cuts are a bit further forward close to the rear sight base. I am a well rounded welder so I feel comfortable welding. My question is would the barrel jacket door supports need to be replaced? I PM the OP on the build above but if experienced builders say this is a no go I will start the process of finishing out the new front shroud.
I am using all BRP current production build parts.
Also I do have a working WISELITE semi and a Cobb Hill Post Dealer to pull from. The Wiselite receiver is a bit longer then the Cobb Hill receiver.
Thank in advance
Jim
Here are some pics of the kit and the cut after clean up.
