WTK: Distance From Top of Rec'r to C/L of Rivet Hole

Need a little help here.

Working on my BRP "scrap" receiver and would like to know the "correct" distance from the top of the receiver (or any good reference point) to the centerline of the rivet hole. It would make sense that it should be to the center of the recessed stamping on the side of the receiver?

I looked on the print in the reference section it is missing this dimension.

Also, should the rails butt right up against the trunnion section or is there a gap between the rail and trunnion? If so, what is the gap dimension?

Thanks in Advance,

Hoover

if you look on the rec near the trunion area there is a D shaped hole that corrosponds with the punchout near the front of the rail :)

Tom,

Thanks for the response. I understand about the interface with the receiver cut out and rail punch out.

I am looking for the dimension since there is about .070 inch vertical "slop" with the fit up of the receiver/rail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hoover

Hoover the rivets on my reciever start in the middle of the recesses at the front of the receiver but are offset quite a bit in the recesses towards the back of the reciever. It does look weird that the rivets are not centered in the recesses at the rear, but thats the way it is designed.

I JUST USED THE SUPPLIED HOLES IN THE BRP AND USED A POST WAR left rail to clear the recouperator, if needed you can also remove a little material from the recoup tube as i also did, i have fired mine so it isn't off that much :D
