Hello,
As the title kind of says i want to take my wiselite semi bolt which uses a two piece firing pin and i want to use a one piece firing pin. Do all i need to do is drill out the semi auto bolt wedge? Also with the one piece is that sleeve thats inside the bolt needed or can i not use it and be fine?

Re: two piece to one piece firing pin?
The sleeve inside the bolt acts as a stop for the front firing pin return spring which is reduced in diameter for the spring so the question would be whether or not the one piece firing pin has a reduced diameter at the end where it will go through the bushing in the bolt head and of course being the correct length with the correct pin protrusion at the bolt face. My WiseLite front pin measures 3.06mm in dia. and an MG42 firing pin I have measures 3.51mm in dia. @ the smaller dia. portion of the pin so accurate measurments of the one piece pins length and dia. will determine whether you will have to drill the sleeve out the same as the bolt wedge. Removing the sleeve in the bolt will leave too large a hole around the front of the firing pin behind the bolt face and will make a space for carbon and other debris to accumulate and possibly cause the firing pin to stick causing a slam fire or possibly an out of battery ignition! Hope this helps.

Yes it does one thing though i should have been more clear on is that i did not mean the bushing at the very end of the bolt but actually the two piece sleeve that runs the length of the bolt on the inside.

the one piece fp. has a prob. with binding in the bolt wedg and will cause fa fire the bolt head and bolt body act as a toggel link for any misaliment. when firing the receiver tends to flex this causes the long pin to bind in the bolt

Are you considering re-enacting with it?man_am_boden wrote:Hello,

Re: two piece to one piece firing pin?
I still would like to do that, but i ran into a major lack of money when i after i had asked about it. This summer i may have some extra cash and time. Can i reenact with it? Im asking because it is not a real one, ive kinda been thinking that it ahs to be a full auto one to be allowed to use it? That aside i think this fix will get it up and running finally so it will hopefully be good to me now.
