BRP semi auto bolt rail?

Post by jcmg42 »

Anyone know anything about this bolt rail on the BRP semi auto bolt page?

This is a part we welded to the underside of the MG42 bolt carrier to keep constant force on the top of the hammer during cycle. The 'wing' tab on the side in bent over to contact the charging handle for charing.
That seems pretty useful, but I haven't seen it in any drawerings?

welds to the bottom of the bolt to help push down/ cock the hammer, the little wing I believe gets bent over to act as cocking piece for the charging handle to grab on to.

Was a buck fifty,no brainer to throw on the order. I'll write BRP again, but I'm not getting if it replaces the charging piece included in the semi bolt kit. I haven't seen it used on any build.
