I finally tested my build and got it to fire,but it would not load the next round
and it did not eject the spent cartridge.The gun is short stroking and is not
coming back far enough to eject the spent case.The booster is 11.5mm and
i am shooting 8mm.The bolt glides like glass on the rails,I am using a thompson
machine lower with ar15 internals with heavy hammer spring.Ammo used
was 8mm Romy,Recoil spring is a BRP semi spring. Bolt modifications are done
by myself with a tube welded to the locking wedge encasing the firing pin and
homemade bolt extension clearanced for buffer.My question is that in the
bottom of the bolt on wiselite builds,I believe there is a plate, smoothing out
the transition between the original shelf where the full auto catch use to reside
and the bolt extension.The bottom of my bolt is ramped and polished between
this transition,but i feel this could be slowing the rearward progress of the bolt.
The gun cycles just fine by hand and will feed and eject rounds as long as
you can stand to pull the damn thing.Also the barrel will pogo stick with the
recuperator just fine.How hot is romy ammo? Should i try lighter hammer
spring,ignition was good with deep primer strike.I am thinking about welding
in plate to smooth transition on bolt, which would probably save hammer pins.
I will probably try several options but would like any suggestions from the
members that have gone through this before.

Sounds like you have done your homework and started out great. I would first think about the recup, even tho you have done the pogo stick test.
Also double check your bolt extractor? Is it releasing or is the spent casing getting pushed off the bolt fast enough? Spent casing still hanging on the bolt head, understand that it works just fine with hand testing.. If you have the spares might want to change out the pushier and the extractor?? Just a few thoughts. Had a problem with someone putting the wrong size extractor (.45 cal) in a 9mm bolt one time, which caused hung casings. To be fair the barrel and the extractor and hole size in the bolt head are about the only differences between a .45cal and a 9mm weapon in this case.
Another idea, check your overall bolt return spring length. I recall a few posts talking about cutting the length of that return spring, which might open up the length of the travel of the bolt???

Also check the "old-threads" in the MG42-Board for this subject by doing a "search"........lots of good information there.
Last........is anything (like a buffer too long) keeping your boly-assembly from going fully to the rear (?).

Try an 11mm or 10.5mm booster. You may just need a little more push.

Weld in a piece of tubing then bore to size. Easy.
