Anybody doing Reciever Welding for a fee?

Post by conical one »

I have a good condition reciever that needs to be welded together under BATFE regs. Anybody offering these services? As well as the trigger grip enlargement milling?

I know C2 was offering this some months ago, but I think he got buried with orders.

Any help would be appreciated.

co,

I'm working with an SOT to do this very thing. Right now he's buried up to his eye balls in AK receiver manufacturing but when that slows up he may just start doing some rewelds. At the very least I hope to be able to offer some rewelding jigs. It would be the end of the summer at the very soonest though.

I'm not sure if this helped you or not.

I said FEE, I wouldn't expect someone to do this for free. . . nor would I want someone to do it for free as you usually get what you paid for when it is done free.

I need an email address of someone who is capable of providing this service if there is such a person.

Thanks,

Huntsnmnts-- the Handle name for G.rice, is doing the whole back end of my reciever (Sa42) = 80%
I''ve sent mostly everything to him so he can do the bolt, and grip mod = no more full auto ability = semi only
I understand that he has a few jobs like this on his table, and we've been waiting since he became ill over a sinus
issue. He did notify me last week that the welding was underway !! PM him, and see if/where he can fit you in. I sent
him my parts nearly 2 months ago, so I have no idea how long you'll wait.
He's a great guy to communicate with.
If he's not online answering , then perhaps that's a good sign = out at the work bench !

This is the only person I know doing nearly 80% work on these worth mentioning.
A jig that could be sold would be great. I still vision it now. Just clean your reciever up good, and bolt it down with included
hardware to the metal bars that isolate the parts in perfect alignment. get your tig, and go!
Maybe someone will step up to the plate on this one sooner than the year is up.

Anyhow, good luck

sorta like jumanra does for the bren. It would be nice it it weren't as expensive as his though. $600 for a jig to weld one bren reciever is what keeps me from buying his.

Karbinator,

the welding is going well attached is yours. The grip frames will start in 2 weeks, the big visit to the doctor is on the 8th I find out options then, but to better things. I have 2 recievers to finish welding this weekend, then trigger groups approximately 7 of them, then the fitting. I apologize for the delay but I can go only so fast and you guys have not bothered me about it at all. We really do have some good people on this site.

Just curious, but why would an SOT need to be involved since this is an SA?
