Re: Receivers from BRP
I've been away from this forum for years. It's good to see somebody doing a build. I cant recommend enough the BRP bolt body. I built mine back in 2005 and copied their first bolt version only to have it not be durable enough. Over the years I suffered breakages that almost made me want to dump the ...

WTS ZB26 non-firing semi auto project
I am trying to sell my ZB26 project that I never completed and do not have time for. The kit is WW@ German made and has Waa63 waffenamts in a few places. Semi mods were done to the receiver prior to welding but no conversion work was done to the trigger group. The bolt carrier is no longer usable fo...

Where to buy bolt extension
Does anybody have a source for the extension that needs to be welded onto the rear of the bolt? I have a second bolt I want to convert but havent located a source for this part. Dont recemmend projectguns as I already called there and was told they only have a sleeve that still needs to be machined.

Semi 34 Range report
As I posted yesterday, I completed my semi 34 build. I used a parts set I got from BRP, a weld jig from projectguns.com and the semi auto trigger/sear setup from TNW. I bought an extra demilled receiver to use as filler in the roughly one inch gap in the receiver that came from BRP. The welding was ...

Re: welding...
whats would you say is a fair price to pay for bare bones welding on an mg34 torch cut receiver? I really want to build one of these but I'm sad to say I lack a welder and the necessary skills required to do the job. I would like to do all the fitting and grinding myself but need someone to put it ...

Completed my build
I completed my semi 34 build today. I used the TNW set-up and it even has a lighter trigger pull than the TNW 34 I used to own. Tomorrow it is off to the range to test fire.

Re: Has everyone seen this?!
Once that part of the bill becomes reality I will close all my bank accounts. I am amazed that the idiots who favored the health care bill willfully ignored the part of the bill that allows the gov access to private bank accounts. For the previous 8 years all we heard from the libs was "Bush is ille...

I think it's possible a very hot blank could have damaged your barrel door in the same way.

Pakistani 308 blank warning
For those of you thinking about shooting those Pakistani 308 blanks in a semi or FA Mg42, be very careful. I just cut open 100 rounds of these to convert them to a different caliber and noticed that 98 of them had a powder charge of 14.5 grains, which is not overly hot. However, 2 that I cut open we...

Re: Advice on .308 build
Richard, thanks for that bit of info. My feed tray was once used for 308 as there is a hole drilled where the spacer used to be. I was thinking of simply making a spacer that I can just remove when I want to go 8mm. How much are your 2 piece blank barrels?

Re: What does one TRILLION dollars look like?
I read somewhere that there was a joke that used to circulate in Berlin in the 1920's. It went something like a woman took a basket and filled it with money to go buy a loaf of bread. The basket was so heavy she couldnt carry it anymore and left it outside the store. They went to help her bring it i...
