tnw has an adapter to fit the 34 on the 42 mount. i think now since you have told me all this ill go that route. how can you tell if your mount is yugo vs rework german. I bought mine from allegany about 4 years ago. I have not found any stampings yet

yes in death wish it was the ww2 vet that brought back an mg 42 and it jams, but charles bronson goes back gets a 1919 and holds it and fires it

it has a deep dark bluing and some of the parts are stainless steel ot chrome. hter is no date or waffen amps i can see on the shroud and my bolt is an early style i guess you call it could my kit be a prewar or a portuges contract?

blitz bikes is crazy on prices and he does not return your calls and emails. there is a guy in china that makes them and sell them for 250$ each plus about 80$ shipping. ill look if i can find it again
