The only thing is it usually takes a few taps from a hammer to get it open.Would the jeweler's rouge work, or would a file be better?

This afternoon I took out my TNW MG-34 and attempted to change barrels on it.I pulled back the charging handle,and set it on safe.I then pushed in the receiver catch,but the receiver group would not easily rotate,only with assistance would it rotate and open. Is this normal because of the way it is ...
