Re: How to spot fake AA sight?
I am mostly inquiring about the front sight, as you have stated thee seem to be not to many of the rear ones out there or any appreciable fakery as of yet. I had been conned on a few fakes awhile back and it hurt me quite a bit in the pocket book and I want to get an original but I am trying to make...

Help to ID strange ammo can
Here is a can I picked up some time ago with a bunch of German stuff but not really sure on who made it. I have heard it was older German, Finnish or even Norwegian; does anybody know for sure? It is the same height and width as a 34 ammo can but is about 1/3" - 1/2" less long: http://farm9.staticfl...

Yes I understand your points, but still they are fakes and not worth the steel they are made out of. I would not trust them for checking anything-because I would be willing to guess there were probably no original blueprints used so the gage tolerances were probably unknown and guessed at. With an e...

Lots of fakes out there lately, a German collector friend of mine recently told me that if is worth money it is being faked in Poland and the eastern European countries. Quite a few bogus marked extractor removers out there with waffenamts and all. Quite a few of the Kaliberzylinders and Verschlussa...

Yes, I agree the M240 is not a bad design at all, overall an excellent design. I myself still prefer the MG3. The M240 is a very durable well thought out and extremely reliable design. I don't like having to carry the M240 further than to my humvee though. It is a brick in the carrying arena but it ...

Be careful: they are faking those alot and StahlPatrone (headspace gages) also lately. I have seen alot of fakes available lately. I almost bought one until a German collector friend of mine said that most that you see for sale nowadays are faked and said the one I was about to buy was most assuredl...
