If it were mine and it was a WW2 gun I would try it first with all original 8mm parts. See how it performs in stock condition before adding caliber conversion parts. Its a very strong pedestal mount and versatile. I can mount the 20mm Solothurn no problem. Beats laying prone. Picture is same mount before I put it in the Wolf.

I can't take any credit for the spade grips. I just bought them and installed them! They are really well done and appear to be a close copy of the German helicopter door gun set up.
