Was afraid of that.
Thanks.

MG3 Feed Tray With NATO M13 Links
Have a MG3 Top Cover with paw marked ‘O’.
Will the MG3 Feed Tray feed the M13 inks with the MG2 Feed Tray that is NOT marked 'O'?
OR will need to mod it and if yes, how?
Thanks.

Re: MG-3 kits ---What do you think ?
It would need a LOT of skills to fix that one. That is way over my ability to do that. I can fix a RTG rear section to get pretty 'in specs' but not that one. You it looks would need a special jig and a LOT of love!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Hammer follow
And it looks to be a German WII buffer with the eagle and the WAA stamp but cannot make out the number. That is why it fits to the green stock.

Re: Hammer follow
That looks it is an Austrian part and the Yugo buffer will not fit with the stock. You can get a German buffer from RTG and that would fit. You can get them new and used so it would not break the bank and that way would not need to shim anything to see if that would solve the issue.

Re: New Run of MG74 Profile Barrels?
Yep, that is why I wanted to look into it. The guys at Green Mountain want $350.00 to blueprint it and they would want a minimum number of barrels and I at first I thought they said 100 but I thought they said 50, but even so, I would out of a minimum $5,000.00 or more and even I can afford to it, t...

Re: New Run of MG74 Profile Barrels?
Thanks – I got one from last them year but it was not chrome. He said the make them up both chrome and non chrome based what they have on stock. I got what they had in stock and I knew it was a non chrome barrel. They are out of stock today (of this post time). They did not mark the caliber on the b...

New Run of MG74 Profile Barrels?
I have been speaking with Green Mountain about making a new run of MG74 profile barrels. (According to Wikipedia the MG74 is a MG42/59 variant licensed from Beretta and manufactured by Steyr Mannlicher.) The MG74 profile barrel is called a “heavy barrel” and the barrel itself will have a chrome line...

Re: Bolt will not fit
Did you use a MG Rail Rivet Jig? You can spread the receiver with one. If you have one, measure the bolt and set the jig to the width of the bolt and see it the jig slips the track from the end to the camming piece. If you don’t have one, RTG has them pretty cheap.

Re: Semi Build Help
How much of the rear was welded and messed up? I have an old IMA rear section and the last hole in the where the rail goes is good. Then you could cut and paste. It uses the MG42 tabs, not the MG3 tabs. I would sell it for just little than a whole receiver as if you can find a BPR part it would very...

I did run into Panaceabeachbum the last day of the NRA meeting. He had a both and is still working and looks good and he his health looks OK. We had a nice talk about MG42's and it was nice to finally meet him. He said he lost interested with MG42's from lost of interest. But he really knew his stuf...

Re: Hammer follow
It looks your grip stick is an old Thompson Machine grip. He had two styles – one is like yours and the second one was designed to use an AR15 grip. We used the pen name of “Panaceabeachbum” and not have heard from years and either he retired or passed. He knew a lot about making those guns work. ht...

I would be interested. Can I send my bolt and my feed tray and nozzle to you so you can use my parts for the conversion and help keep the costs down? And would want a second barrel as well.

Could it convert to use a Yugo M53 belt linker to 7.62x39? Would it just need a new hopper?

Re: Recoil Nozzle play
I just saw your front receiving bushing and I would not use it. It just looks wrong. That looks it is the US made not the Rheinmetall one. I think I remember reading one of the posts, one guy used the US part with his build and it was not in spec and he said it was not heat treated as well so he wou...

Re: M53 receiver stampings don't reach cut barrel shroud.
Meaning if the shroud is too short and the kits are drying up.
I am sure the rest is OK.
