Re: MG34 Lafette Restoration
Thank you for all the information. The paint match thing is normally a nightmare in this hobby. I had both colors mixed. It's nice being able to get authentic colors at my local paint store. The grey as mixed is a dead match to the original ammo can I bought from you.Not that I am going to paint tha...

Re: MG34 Lafette Restoration
Great article. What type of thinner did you use on the paint? Was in paint thinner, MEK, Acetone or lacquer thinner?
Thanks!!

Re: yugo lafette trade
I would not trade a p38 for a post war yugo tripod. I own a post war yugo an original that was redone by the Yugoslavs post war. you will not be happy without the optics mount. I bought it as relic of the Civil wars and it will stay in it's current paint.

Re: Sarco "LAFETTE GROUND TRIPOD"
Has anyone stripped the paint off of a post ww2 yugo without the sight mount on it? I am curious if the mount was removed and ground down or if it is a new made part. I was late to the party and bought one without the sight mount last week. I am going to restore this one to ww2 paint before I do my ...

Re: New Batch of M-53 Kits at Centerfire
You did the right thing. You not only got a blasting barrel, you got a working chamber/locking area piece. In a few years we will see new barrels for sale that have used rear locking areas. Kit came in. All the parts are there as expected. Ordered a barrel with dark bore and that's exactly what I re...

I only shoot the Yugo in 1919's. There it is cool and the 1919 can suck up a hot or semi out of battery round. The 34 and 42 will prob take it too but why ruin hard to replace parts. My advice to to look to the seconday market for romanian. It's out there at shows and dealers. I'm buying my yugo (fo...

I have an extra pin attached to a hunk of slag. It's saveable if your inclined. The threads are good. The rear is a little touched but it should be no big deal. Give me 20.00 shipped only to help me recoup some of the cost of the front new fron section I had to buy from BRP. Email me or pm me about ...

My mg3 pod is Made by JOWA. It's nice butI have not seen this brand around before.. I believe the post war pods are a better design than the ww2 version. The germans never make anything worse. They redesign to make it better. They removed the search fire unit from the post war pod but made the weld ...

What's up with the Yugo buttstock threads?
Hi guys,
I had heard that they didn't mix with ww2 buffers. I tried it today and presto it didn't fit. tried a yugo butt on it and it fit like a glove. The threads look close but don't fit. Anyone know why? Also does the same thing hold true for the mg3 stock as well?
thanks!
