I have been trying to get some clarification on what the release button should look like on and early WWII Bakelite stock. I know it should have concentric rings but I have seen pictures in which the button appears to be flat with a center dot and 2 engraved rings surrounding it. I have also seen a ...

Here are some pictures of the two versions I was referring too. I have seen more of the flat version in pictures of early WWII Bakelite stocks. Comments welcome

Hello all,

Just wanted to introduce myself because I hope to be spending some time on this board. I have lurked a few times in the past while I awaited my ATF transfer for my MG42. I hope to gain knowledge about the MG42 from the experience of members on this board.
