I have a nice M53 parts kit as pictured with intact barrel. Bore is dark but with good rifling, very shootable. All parts in this kit are Yugo, none are German. $650 Shipped in the lower 48! I just got one of these. The flash hider is corroded and pitted. The other two parts are nice though. Guess I shouldn't complain?

Ordered some from RTG the other day and they were beat up and rusty. Good for something I guess, but nothing I could use.

Looking for some nice BW steel ammo cans. None of the usual dealers have any, it seems.
Anyone out there have six or eight they'd like to part with?
Thanks!

Re: MG08 Sled Mount Marking?
I have a sled dated 1917 manufactured by Durkopp. I think they are still in business,. IIRC they make sewing machines. During or before WWI they made sewing machines, bicycles and I think a little car. When I restored my sled, one of the Durkopp shields was missing. I found an old iron sewing machin...

Re: mg34 bolt head disassembly - help
You are making this way too complicated. The outer roller is held on by an internal snap ring. There are grooves cut in the shaft and also on the inside of the outer roller. All you have to do is pry the outer roller off with a blade. Not much force is needed, just finagle it a bit. God knows how ma...

Re: Lafette carrying sttraps
Frank's work is amazing. He has done a number of projects for me in the past. He can replicate nearly anything (I usually send him an original item to duplicate) or perform repairs on original gear.
Didn't know he was making repro Lafette slings!
